Black Friday?

I know its the day after thanksgiving..but what exactly is it?

Stores have sales ?? Is it EVERY store?

And do you need coupons or is it just everything is on sale ?Black Friday?
Black Friday got it's name because the volume of sales on that one day (the kickoff to the holiday shopping season) often brought retailers "out of the red and into the black" - an accounting term meaning 'losing money' [red] to 'making money' [black].

Many stores offer big sales on this day, often with the stores opening VERY early - 5am, etc. This year, many stores are opening at 12am, midnight. Not EVERY store has sales, but most do. And, each store is different - some have coupons, some are general sales, some have limited inventories of key products that they sell at a substantial discount. You would have to check out the specific retailers for details. If you search on-line there are actual websites with links to the sales fliers for some national retailers (US) so you can plan out your shopping accordingly.

If nothing else, it is a BUSY day... one which requires good walking shoes and a lot of patience!
It is to start the Christmas season.Black Friday?
Black Friday is when we begin to shop for Christmas. It is always a Friday.Because Thanksgiving is of course every 4th thursday in November each year.So it last from the 23rd to the 29th.
It is the biggest shopping day of the year (hence the name "black" as in the opposite of being in the "red"). Pretty much EVERY store has amazing sales and will usually open up as early as 5 or 6am. This is definitely a thing to miss if you are claustrophobic, it is always a madhouse.
What black friday is, is a gigantic sale,at almost every store, you can find most of the deals by picking up the paper a day or two in advance and looking through all the adds, this paper is the biggest paper of the year, so go early to get it. A lot of people stand outside of stores at 3am or earlier to get the early bird deals. Some stores have door buster deals where the first however many people in the store get a gift or a coupon of some sort. You don't need a coupon, unless it is specified in the ad, usually you just go to the store and that is what is on sale, coupons are a thing of that past :P. It is a christmas shopping day, if you want to save money on christmas shopping this year, its a really good way to do so. But keep in mind, its competitive, and everyone is out to get that one hot item.
Black Friday is when a LOT of stores have great sales. It is tradition w/my family so we go every year. I am not for sure about EVERY store, but A lot of them yes. Some places you may need coupons, but I doubt it on a lot of them

I use the following website
Black Friday is the start of the holiday shopping rush. Most stores open early, and/or have big sales to draw people in. Some stores require coupons, most just have tradional sales.
