Did anyone shop Black Friday and Saturday/Sunday, too?

Are you budgeting more or less for this year?

Did you try to get the deals, too? Were you successful?

It rained a good bit this past weekend for those in Georgia (Southeast) and so, the weather was not so good. I did shop a little bit on Friday but decided not to wake up early and try to beat the crowds.

I ordered a few things online the night before and then leisurely walked into Target around 9:30AM and every item I wanted was available. I even decided to go back later that night to think about getting another 26" television since I had the 10% coupon on the entire days purchase and decided it just wasn't necessary.

So, my budget has been smaller but I feel like we have gotten some really good deals even before Black Friday.

I also went to my craft stores for my sewing and craft projects that I like to do with my kids and that wasn't too bad either. I guess this year, I got lucky because everything I wanted for my kids I was able to get earlier or online without the hassle.

Apparently, experts are predicting November to be dismal. ;-(

Not Friday, but both Saturday and Sunday. The bad economy hasn't affected my family yet, and we've always believed in saving money anyway.
No, I didn't shop this past week-end. On Monday of last week I went to Pennys and got me a new coat. Original cost was $100.00 and I got it for $39.50.

I don't do Christmas so I don't have to worry about that!Did anyone shop Black Friday and Saturday/Sunday, too?
Nope. I don't need stuff that bad. I got enough stuff and anyway I have rent and bills to pay. Food and things I need to live. I don't want to give any stores anymore of my money than I have to.
I don't have any money for Christmas and my wife is very sick.I have 4 kids who will not have a merry christmas and the dog just peed on the couch. Damn! dog.
Went to my favorite cafts store and got some things..on Friday...I don't do a big Christmas..
I shopped both Friday and Saturday. Saturday at the Mall with my kids and Friday on my own. Based upon the full baskets I saw being wielded through Wal-Mart (I didn't stay, too long of lines) and Target I would say a lot of people were buying a lot of stuff. My best deals were at Target ($50 for a 7" RCA portable DVD player) and Home Depot ($9.97 for 6 lithium mini-flashlights and $99 for a DeWalt cordless drill).
I did what suny did went to to target got two of the portable dvd players for the kids in the car.

movies ..

then I went to Best Buy and did drop 430 bucks there with tax ..for PS3 but it came w game and james bond movie.

I should have done what you did went to Micheals but i did grab some crayola fun stuff at target the glow board and wonder paint stuff...

Im done though there limit on gifts is way down...they each get a few nice things..
