Who doesn鈥檛 enjoy eating out? Eating at home can be time and energy consuming, but every meal one cooks has so many benefits for one鈥檚 family. With nutritious meals, one can have healthier eating habits. Instead of paying ten dollars a meal eating out, one can use the money to make a family meal for four at home. Home cooked meals give one the chance to watch what one adds to one's plate and balance the portion sizes one eats, and one doesn鈥檛 feel obligated to eat everything. Furthermore, eating with one鈥檚 family at the table will make for good quality family time. This time together also gives the chance to educate one's kids on saving money and eating healthy. Who hasn鈥檛 felt rushed after a day of school or work or too tired after a busy day? Others may argue that cooking is too time consuming. If one has have a small kitchen, one may complain of storage place. A person may work many hours and not have time to cook at home so, they may worry about shelf life expectancy of the food. Healthy foods are usually more expensive than the grab and goes. in spit of all the contrary evidence, however, it can be proven that eating a well balanced home cooked meal is healthier, cheaper and provides opportunity for quality family time.

If everyone started to cook at home instead of eating fast food, we would have fewer obese Americans. Eating home cooked meals gives us the chance to maintain a healthy life style. By making home cooked meals we can have the chance to add and subtract things in the recipe we make. When at a restaurant one doesn鈥檛 get to take out the unhealthy things one gets what one orders. Yet twenty-five percent of all family meals in the United States take place at a restaurant. (.F. Jim). where one can鈥檛 see or control the cooking method. Healthy eating at home is easier than one thinks, says Elizabeth Scott, a health writer. Health studies have been done and prove that eating healthy meals from home lowers stress levels.

Every meal one eats at home can save up to two thousand dollars for the average American family that eats out for almost every meal every year. There are ways one can save money to start a healthy life style. One can find coupons and sale ads going on. One can make a family meal each for fifty-six dollars eating at home a week instead of one hundred-forty dollars a week eating out; therefore, you are saving eighty-four dollars a week.(.s. John) Taking lunch for work instead of going out saves a family a couple hundred dollars a year. Doing this regularly can save money in the long run.

One advange of eating at home as a family is getting to spend good quality time together. Studies have proven that by eating together everyone is more likely to serve fresh fruits and vegetables.( Elizabeth Scott) Families should have dinner together as much as possible, This improves your children's eating habits and teaches good manners. Seventy-eight percent of American families eat together for every meal. (.F. Jim) Family dinners lower the rate of kids becoming overweight and getting into trouble with drugs and drinking.

Education is another part of preparing a meal together. One gets the opportunity to teach children how to cook healthy foods; this will stick with them for the rest of their lives. While one is doing this, one is teaching them how to save money. By teaching kids about ingredients, calories and meats, they are more likely to live a healthy life.

Although these are good reasons why we should eat home cooked meals, the opposite side may argue: they don鈥檛 have time; their storage and cooking space is too small; food will expire; and healthy foods are more expensive than the unhealthy foods. Many families have to have both parents work to make it in today鈥檚 society, so most families resort to fast food. A person with a good job who is single and works the typical Monday through Friday job but is still continuing their schooling may not have time to cook because they are busy with work and school. Children have sports and school activities parents have to attend to so this puts a strain on time. Families should not let a small kitchen be a barrier to home cooked meals; they can start with one item, then move on to the next instead of doing it all at once.

Many people say that storage space in their kitchen is the reason why they don鈥檛 cook. Many families can鈥檛 afford a place with a big kitchen. Their kitchen might be small and not have a lot of storage place areas to put food, so they buy less. They may not have the counter room to cook on, so this discourages them from cooking. They should buy meats and freeze them to give them a couple of months advantage. Bread, milk and eggs shouldn't be bought in big bulks.Need help revising my essay?
I think the content is essentially good. I don't care for the one can do this, one can do that format though.

For instance, in the first paragraph, something like "A home cooked meal is healthier, more economical and family oriented than eating out."

Good job though, and good luck.Need help revising my essay?
One observation I would make is that you have lots of short sentences, which mean stop-starting a lot as you read. Try merging some of the sentences together using commas.

Also, I don't know what standard this essay is meant to be so it's difficult to give you any help that isn't either too harsh or too simple.

Some of the facts could do with some evidence to back them up such as:

"Every meal one eats at home can save up to two thousand dollars for the average American family that eats out for almost every meal every year."

If you could refer to the source it will add some credibility to the paper.

Hope that helps at least a little bit.
