EASY 10 POINTS: How do CVS Extrabucks coupons work?

I bought some personal hygiene items on the Black Friday CVS sales, and they were labeled as "FREE after Extrabucks" on the circular. So I bought a LOT of these items and had a very, very long receipt of coupons. They say something along the lines of this:

"For purchasing Gatorade G2, you get $5.00 Extrabucks!"

(With a bar code and those terms and conditions on the bottom.)

I actually have several questions:

1) Do these coupons deduct that many dollars off ONE item, or your whole purchase?

2) Are you allowed to use more than one coupon at a time?

3) Lets say I use my coupon from purchasing Gatorade. Do I have to be buying Gatorade at the time in order to have the coupon to work?

4) Do they work on things such as an iTunes gift card?
