Postponements waste our time?

Do you agree that a lot of games which are officially postponed on the Saturday should really be called off on the Friday night? Often you can take a look at the local weather and forecast but find there's only maybe one game off -- yet by kick-off time EVERY non-SPL game in the same vicinity is off.

Even if the pitch is ok, what about the spectators? Plus the fixed-odds coupon punters.

I say, call it off on Friday and save all the messing about.Postponements waste our time?
Spot on Bill

Clubs can make tremendous efforts to make a pitch playable but if the roads are dodgy then no sane person would travel to watch.

Also supposing Stranraer were at home to Peterhead - conditions in Stanraer are Ok but all roads around Peterhead are impassable - what happens then?

You have a point, considering our climate. Can't understand why the clowns at the SFA persist in making our clubs play through the winter every year. They should bring back the winter break, have a larger top division of 18 or 20 that play one another only twice, and have sense when pitches are in a state, like you said.

Oh aye, and scrap that feckin stupid league split at the end of the season, what a load of feckin dung.

Have a star.
