Does anyone know when Kroger stopped doubling coupons in Michigan?

I went to Kroger on Friday (Oct 7 2011) and I noticed that they didn't double my coupons like they usually do. I live in Ypsilanti Mi and I was wondering if anyone knows anything about this. Also did anyone hear that Walmart was going to stop ad matching? Why would they do that? Please if anyone has any info to share let me know. I have been helped out alot by using my coupons at these 2 locations, now I have to revamp everything I have been doing. Anyone out there that can help? Also any guidance would be helpful too.
