The coupon was good for $20 off a purchase of $100 or more (which I made) on Oct 7/8.Will JCPenney honor a coupon after purchase?
Im an associate and our policy is within 7 days to get a price break. Technically on the coupon it says we cant return, repurchase and use a coupon. It says it doesn't count on previous or current purchases. In most cases we do honor a coupon within reason. However, its up to the supervisor of the day to make the final decision,So the answer is yes and no. It depends on the situation(there are customers who abuse this privilege, how old is the purchase, etc)It depends on the store, their policy and the supervisors of the day(some are more strict, some are laidback)and depends on the ringing associate.
so best way to handle this is to go to your local jcpenney store. Go to a cashier, and ask to talk to the supervisor or manager of the day for customer service. Explain the situation and if its okay, it will be returned, resold with a coupon but you must provide coupons because those coupons are mailed out, only flyer coupons we carry in store and those you have to get yourself. Note you can ask an associate and chances are they will agree without supervisors approval but however you could get an associate who follows policy. They will call a supervisor to get approval. It really can go either way depending on the situation. However we are happy to help you, assist you,and usually in small cases we do it out of kindness. The person who waits over a month or more to get a price break are the ones who we decline.
so less time you waste the better.go to a jcpenney store with your coupon and receipt. I hope they fix it for you.
