Is it wrong to be disappointed by what my boyfriend did for our 3 year anniversary? ?
My boyfriend and I had our 3 year anniversary on Friday and I feel bad because I was disappointed in what he did for me. I spent all of Thursday night, from when I got off work until 11:00pm, cooking for our anniversary dinner (homemade apple pie, lasagna, french bread, all his favorites...).
Friday night came, I took it all to his house and we had dinner and I also gave him a new jacket because he hates cold weather and was in need of a new one.
But for me he made me a cardSolid-worksorks. :\
It wasn't even a very personal card; it had 3 hearts and said "I love you" on it. And that was it...just a card.
I dunno, I guess being disappointed is silly. For some reason I just think if he'd gotten flowers, a plushie, a charm or something I wouldn't have been disappointed. At least he would have gone out of his way and left the house.... :\
I wasn't mad at my boyfriend, I understand money is tight on all of us lately. We still had a great night with dinner and a movie at home but....I just wish he had put a little more thought into what I would like, I guess. He could have made something else; a more personal card, a coupon book, a framed photo, etc and it would have been sweeter than arenderingring of a heart. O_o
Then I was talking to a friend of mine and he made me feel horrible for being disappointed. I totally understand what you're talking about, but honestly I think guys just really don't put that much thought into those kinds of things. It's not an intentional neglect or anything, he just probably thought the card was good enough. I'm kind of like you and I always set high expectations, and that only causes me to be disappointed most of the time. Next time, try not to expect anything, and if he does something nice you'll be happily surprised. If not, you won't be disappointed. (I realize this is all easier said than done! lol)

Okay, so I'm trying to do really nice, romantic things for my ex who is fathering my little baby boy fetus. Where did I go wrong?? I almost made a sale?
I'm a sales rep for a coupon company. I made 2 appts this week that seemed promising. Both companies said come back today (friday) to sign up. One called before and changed their mind. The other company- the owner said he has to think about it for 3 more months or so.
Now I made no commission and no sales and I thought that I was getting paid today. WTF. I am so upset. What did I do wrong? The appointment went really really good, but both told to come back on Friday. Came back Friday and they Buls**t me and told me "maybe in December"Where did I go wrong?? I almost made a sale?
Well Kiwi sorry that you didnt' make the sale but perhaps you didn't make the customer feel confident enough with your sales pitch. I would have asked the question at the time the customer that called you before and changed there mind you said. At that moment while i had them with me in person or on the phone. I would have probed them more to find out what there doubts are and to see if you can smooth things over or help them understand or answer any of there questions. Something like Mr. Jones what is stopping you from going ahead with this. IS there any questions you have that I could answer or explain to you better. I want you comfortable in knowing what you are about to buy is the right way to go. Or there is something your not sure about or hesitant with going through, and I want to understand this , so I can help you. Please feel free to be level with me .. YOU have to find out what made this person run the other way something about the deal is not sitting right with this customer and you need to find the reason why then put his mind at ease or reassure him ( be honest of course) Whether you get this sale or not it will help you know next time red flags or something you might have missed in your sales pitch that you can learn the next go around. And with both customers I would talk to them or call them back and tell them you will definatly follow up with them in the near future. and at any time if they have any questions or concerns your door is open and leave them your business line. Show them your not going away and you care about there business
Although you may have felt the meeting went well somewhere something dropped. And you will only learn from this for the next sale and critique what you need to do. When they told you to "come back on Friday", they had already told you "No". I know, that's not what you want to hear, but its the truth. If you can find a way to get them to ask for you in the first place --- even before you visit them --- you will have more solid (that is, "qualified") leads.
I don't know your business, so I can't offer a direct suggestion; I can only give you an example. I have a business where I inventory peoples' personal property. However, I hold seminars telling folks how they can inventory their stuff on their own (I basically tell them they don't need me). But at the end of my presentation, I am sure to say, 'if you get stuck, of if this is taking too long, call me and I can help'. And would you believe...it works?

As for an idea, does a small surprise party / bbq work? You can get people that are close to her, or just your family members and plan like a "Summer bbq" but then suddenly bring out a birthday cake just for her, while singing the song. (Yes money would be an issue since she's in charge..but maybe you can ask a cousin/other family member to help out?)

As for an idea, does a small surprise party / bbq work? You can get people that are close to her, or just your family members and plan like a "Summer bbq" but then suddenly bring out a birthday cake just for her, while singing the song. (Yes money would be an issue since she's in charge..but maybe you can ask a cousin/other family member to help out?)

HELP! My online order was canceled and I need some pointers.?
I placed an order on Friday at 0verst0ck.c0m for a xxx video camera, I used a coupon code that I searched for on the internet that took off $90.00 and made the offer a really good one. I then proceeded to post the great deal on a website forum and got others interested in the product.
On the following day Saturday, my order was mysteriously canceled. I called customer service and they informed me that the fraud department canceled the order. I tried calling the fraud department but they did not answer my call over the weekend. I awoke early Monday morning and discovered an email that indicated that my order had been canceled, due to "lack of information being provided." It was a very short 3 sentence email.
I wanted to take the first step and make sure I got my money back, it hasn't posted back to my bank account yet. But I plan on calling the fraud department as soon as it returns payment to demand that I get my order reinstated for the price I placed it at and for the product as advertised. Is this doable?

Well hopefully someone can let you know what the Georgia park has in their coupon booklet...my coupon booklet from last year (from Six Flags in Maryland) had the "bring a friend free" coupons, it also had a "bring a friend 1/2 price to any other Six Flags" coupon. All of the coupons, except for the last one I just stated, were only valid for the park which I purchased my pass from. The other coupons were various "discounts for friends" coupons (like "bring a friend for $14.99 June 1 - 7th", or "bring a friend for $9.99 during Sundays during Freight Fest" - I don't remember the exact numbers, but there were several coupons like that). They also had discounts for rides and games (like "buy one game, get one free" or "buy one ride on ----, and someone goes on free with you"). There were also merchandise coupons where the discount equaled your age (for example "on September 23rd, your discount equals your age" so if you are 40 years old, you can get ONE item 40% off that day). They also had discounts on food (like 10% off your meal), and discounts off merchandise, although if you show your pass when buying souvenirs, you automatically get 10 or 15% off (same goes with food). They had other discounts on food like "$4 off one funnel cake". Sorry I do not have my booklet with me, nor do I have the one from Six Flags over Georgia, but all the booklets are similar except for "bring a friend free" dates.

Well today, since it's Black Friday, I went to the mall. When I went to this store, they gave me a coupon. I read the back and it said, "Can not be mixed with any coupon or offer." They were having a buy one shirt, get one 50% off deal. So I bought two shirts. The manager was at the cashier. She said, "Were you given a coupon?" I said, "Yes." Then she gave me this look and said, "Then whhhhy aren't you using it, exactly?" So I said, "Because it says on the back, can not be mixed with any coupon or offer." Then she goes, "Well, it's additional. Of course you can use it!!" I was kind of like :/.聽

But yeah if the coupon is 50% off on toys, and you bought a shirt, then I can see that coupon not working. But if it was a coupon off on items bought then it would apply to everything. Did Quiznos (Quizno's) just raise their prices??
I read an article in the Long Beach Press-Telegram on Friday that Starbucks raised their prices 5c for a cup of coffee. Right after that, I happened to go to my regular Quiznos for a sandwich at lunchtime and noticed they'd apparently raised their prices a good 40-50 cents on a Regular sized sandwich.
I go there 2-3 times a week since it's one of the few decent food places by my work, so I know their prices pretty well but it still caught me off guard.
Has anyone else noticed this?? Anywhere we can send a complaint or feedback? A lot of times I'll have a coupon but was irritating nonetheless. Now I don't know if I'll ever bother to go there anymore go there unless I have a coupon for $1-2 off!!Did Quiznos (Quizno's) just raise their prices??
Everyone everywhere is raising prices on everything and blaming it on the GAS PRICES, blah blah blah......but half the time i think they're lying, they just want to increase their profit. with that being said, there is not much you can do about it...this might be a good time to try other places to eat that you've been passing up all this time. or sign up for their email offers, maybe they'll be worth your while

My birthday is Friday and I was thinking of choosing this restaurant for my husband and I to eat at. It looks good, but I am betting it is really expensive.

yes but the original idea is that people spend time with their families on thanksgiving and they ask what their family members want for christmas, and then they go out the next day to browse and shop. retailers caught onto this trend so they do what they can to attract the customers to their store to do their shopping. its all about retail competition.

I was just saying that to my friend Thanksgiving. People getting up real real early and a lot of people camping out at a store over night...how crazy is that? I have found some really good deal throughout the year. I don't mean for this to sound harsh or anything, it is just the truth, the way the economy is now, people are selling some of their nice things to pawn shops and you can really find bargains there also. I am a very frugal person, I can't see giving a high price for anything. I have some really nice things and really cute and name brand clothes, and I don't even care about name brands, one is just as good as the other to me. And I have gotten all of my things at garage sales and at thrift stores. And some of those are more expensive than the price I want to pay. Some people to me just want to spend a lot of money because then they can show off and try to make themselves look better than others. To me, they look stupid and wasteful.

It's a full size guitar, not a kids' model. You can tell it's full size because the scale length is 25.3". Musicians' Friend sells them for $159.99 and so does Guitar Center so I hope you're getting a better price than that.
I would strongly recommend that you spend more and at least get a guitar with a solid wood top. Solid wood tops generate much better tone and higher volume than the plywood top of the Fender DG-60.

I would strongly recommend that you spend more and at least get a guitar with a solid wood top. Solid wood tops generate much better tone and higher volume than the plywood top of the Fender DG-60.

On a Break, with my girl, but this is confusing?
Ok we've been together for 4 years now, she said she wants space, she's my first love, and we made lots of plans together. But, we been apart for about 3 weeks now, and she contacts me sometimes asking how i'm doing and what i'm up to. And just on Friday we got to talking about a movie coupon i had at her place ( we lived together ) so i asked her if she'd like it if i took her out, she asked if it would be dinner + movie, I said ok.
We got together, and when i seen her i was never soo happy we hugged, and I got her $80 worth of expensive chocolates, she liked them, and we went off to eat, i had my share she finished hers and mine, i was kinda shocked at that. Then we rushed off to the movies, and we didn't hold hands or anything, she had a bit of a conservative body language going on. Then we left and she dropped me off and she said that she didn't want to use me, i told her she isn't because i really wanted to see her. She means more than life itself to me. Then i said that she never should ever think that she is. we hugged more, then she left. About an hr later we were talking and she told me about her issues with getting intoxicated, i told her she isn't doing it right. Then she said she'd come by and get me to show her how to do it. She came by and we got intoxicated, she didn't feel safe driving, so she wanted to sleep her car. So i stayed with her brought a blanket, and i kept her warm that night by holding her hands and cuddling. I HELD HER LIKE THAT WAS THE LAST TIME WE'D EVER DO THAT. and when we woke it was a little awkward but she left in the morning, and we msgd each other, and she said that there is no need to go camping cuz we did that last night in her car ( i told her i wanted to go ) i thought she was being so sweet. She called me babe, i want to believe that we'll work things out but i don't want to rush her... Is she just playing mind games?
I am meeting her tomorrow for other reasons, but i never been so happy whenever i lay eyes on her it's as if she has taken my heart and she's living with the love i gave her. but for now I think we're friends and hopefully i can make her fall in love with me all over again like the movie 50 First Dates...On a Break, with my girl, but this is confusing?

Okay my friend works at Sally Beauty Supply. She has been there 3 weeks. Since she is new she is not suppose to be left alone at the cash register. Friday she was left alone to run 2 cash registers. She mishandled the money and 1 register came up $90 short but she was able to find it in the other register. her manager reported the shortage but that it was found. later that day the manager had one of her friend go up to the store and use a coupon to see if she (my friend) would charge her correctly.. She misread the coupon it was buy 1 get one free. she did it correctly as far as the buy 1 on get 1 but she charged the wrong prduct. How do you do menu planning.?
I need some tips and advice on menu planning for meals through the week. I am on a budget has well and would need to stick on that. Also I try to use coupons has well. My mom told me to do a menu for a week and go by that and see want on sale has well. It hard to do at times. This want our days are like.
Monday. It just me my 5 year old and soon to be 11 month old baby home at lunch. Then me and my three kids and my dad at times.

I don't actually plan out lunches. I just make sure I have lunch items, like a bag of frozen chicken, peanut butter, bread, sandwich meat, soups, stuff like that. The only thing I plan out is dinner. With that I just write down 7 dinners I want to make. I look in the pantry for things I already have (like canned beans for chili) and then write down what I need. The fewer ingredients a recipe has in it, the cheaper it most likely will be. The Sunday paper has tons of coupons in it. So what you can do is write out your menu and shopping list after you see what's on sale. Just if chicken is on sale, then make some chicken parm. Super easy. Just mix together in a 1:1 ration parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs. Beat up some eggs. Dip the chicken in the eggs, then in the breadcrumbs. Fry the chicken on each side like 10-15 minutes. Put a little tomato sauce in the bottom of a baking pan. Put in the chicken. Sprinkle on mozzarella if you have it. Put it in the oven 350 for 20-30 minutes. Boil some spaghetti. Mix in some tomato sauce. Done. Parmesan, breadcrumbs, mozzarella, and eggs can all be used in different recipes, so they are a smart thing to buy.
If your children don't need toys, then books are a wonderful thing to buy. Get some classics and some on their favorite characters. You can go to the thrift store or to a paperback book store to find some for cheap, but still good quality. Even a 1 year old would be happy with some board books or soft books rather than a roomful of toys that they quickly grow out of.

So i was going to make a scrap book but i found out that is probably what he is making for me. 98% sure. So i need some more creative idea. Some things i've done in the past for various things are specialized coupons, photo album, book with 100 reasons why i love him.. those are the kind of gifts we usually do except for christmas and stuff. So i need some ideas. Please help i need a new idea now so i can give it to him friday!

I took a test on Thursday Jan 29 (ok, 2 tests just to make sure lol), then on Friday Jan 30 I went down to DSHS to get confirmation. They said I was about 4 and 1/2 weeks along.. so almost 5 and 1/2 now!! YAY!!
I was just wondering, they said that normally doctors want you to wait until you are 8 weeks along, is this true? Can I make a appointment before I get my medical coupons? And will I get a ultra sound on my first visit?Questions about first time pregnancy's?
CONGRATS! Pregnancy is a wonderful feeling =) Sometimes they do ultrasounds at your first visit, to get a more accurate due date and to see how far along you are. I was seen with all 3 of my pregnancies at 6 weeks, go ahead and make that appointment!!!! The sooner you get prenatal care, the better for you and baby ! GOOD LUCK !!! Enjoy the pregnancy!

Looks like you've got it all planned out. If you're going with others, don't be surprised that all your plans don't work out. People tend to get "lost" gambling in the casinos.
I recommend the Bellagio buffet for your buffet. It's one of the best in town.
I see you've chosen Delmonico for your steakhouse. Good choice, it was in my top 5 steakhouses. Emeril does a bang up job. I have a little story about Delmonicos. Last time we were there, after dinner we scraped all our leftovers onto one plate so the waiter could put it all into a dog box for our two rottweilers. We were sitting there at our table when a group of men came in, sat at the table next to us, and one of them pointed to our plate full of leftovers and told the waiter "that looks really good, I'll have what they had" LOL!!! So that should tell you how yummy Delmonicos is.
I also have noted you've planned a lot of time for happy hours in bars. You will find that probably one hour or so is enough then you'll probably want to get on the move in the casino. You can walk around with drinks everywhere and they are free when you're gambling.
The Hilton is the best choice for sports. Excellent plan for that.
Be careful driving on the Strip. Lots of crazy tourists who dart in front of you!! When I used to work at the Flamingo I used to use my car horn the entire time on the Strip. Everyone just walks right out in the street because they are so excited.
Have fun while here and don't forget to get a shrimp cocktail at the Golden Gate Casino when you're downtown at Fremont Street.
Wow - I think this is a great itinerary. It will keep you hopping! On Saturday, having lunch around noon will mean crowds anywhere on the Strip, of course. But if you are on the South side of the Strip and want to have a bite to eat at a fun place, try ESPN Zone in NY NY. You are obviously a football fan, and they will have college games on the TVs, assuming you can get a table.
Mandalay Bay also has some good places for lunch, like Red White %26amp; Blue (deli), Burger Bar, and Border Grill.

If you can fit it in.....morning or afternoon I would highly recommend taking a drive (just a few miles west maybe a 15 minute drive??) to the Red Rock Canyon (mojave desert area).
You can take a short or longer scenic drive or take a long or short hike. It really is beautiful...
Maybe work off all the steaks and drinks you'll be having...lol

Well I have to disagree with some other posters. I have been to Hoover Dam and Red Rock Canyon and they were both pretty boring. The rides out there are long, and once you get there it isn't all that entertaining.
Are you into roller coasters? The one in NY NY and the one on stratosphere give you really cool views of the town. My favorite bar (I wouldn't call it a club) is the VooDoo Lounge on top of Rio - cool drinks, cool views.
The best thing that I have done there, if cost isn't an issue, is rent a helicopter and fly over the Grand Canyon. That was definitely worth the time spent and the price paid.
Oh, and I think that your plan of getting up at 8 AM every morning is VERY optimistic for LV! : )

Looks like you've got it all planned out. If you're going with others, don't be surprised that all your plans don't work out. People tend to get "lost" gambling in the casinos.
I recommend the Bellagio buffet for your buffet. It's one of the best in town.
I see you've chosen Delmonico for your steakhouse. Good choice, it was in my top 5 steakhouses. Emeril does a bang up job. I have a little story about Delmonicos. Last time we were there, after dinner we scraped all our leftovers onto one plate so the waiter could put it all into a dog box for our two rottweilers. We were sitting there at our table when a group of men came in, sat at the table next to us, and one of them pointed to our plate full of leftovers and told the waiter "that looks really good, I'll have what they had" LOL!!! So that should tell you how yummy Delmonicos is.
I also have noted you've planned a lot of time for happy hours in bars. You will find that probably one hour or so is enough then you'll probably want to get on the move in the casino. You can walk around with drinks everywhere and they are free when you're gambling.
The Hilton is the best choice for sports. Excellent plan for that.
Be careful driving on the Strip. Lots of crazy tourists who dart in front of you!! When I used to work at the Flamingo I used to use my car horn the entire time on the Strip. Everyone just walks right out in the street because they are so excited.
Have fun while here and don't forget to get a shrimp cocktail at the Golden Gate Casino when you're downtown at Fremont Street.
Wow - I think this is a great itinerary. It will keep you hopping! On Saturday, having lunch around noon will mean crowds anywhere on the Strip, of course. But if you are on the South side of the Strip and want to have a bite to eat at a fun place, try ESPN Zone in NY NY. You are obviously a football fan, and they will have college games on the TVs, assuming you can get a table.
Mandalay Bay also has some good places for lunch, like Red White %26amp; Blue (deli), Burger Bar, and Border Grill.

Best home brewed Root Beer is at Ellis Island. Way behind Bally's off of Flamingo. Turn Right at Arco gas station, go 300 feet turn left.

I recommend taking a couple of hours to do the tour at Hoover Dam. I was pretty skeptical on this one too - how much fun could a dam be? It was absolutely fascinating - the highlight of my trip.
Red Rock Canyon is also very beautiful (as mentioned by the previous poster). Be sure to take a camera.
If you can fit it in.....morning or afternoon I would highly recommend taking a drive (just a few miles west maybe a 15 minute drive??) to the Red Rock Canyon (mojave desert area).
You can take a short or longer scenic drive or take a long or short hike. It really is beautiful...
Maybe work off all the steaks and drinks you'll be having...lol

Did my order go through or what?
I ordered a bunch of stuff from the Hot Topic website; I checked out as a guest using 2 giftcards and two coupons. It all apeared to be working fine, until I clicked "Submit Order". The "submit order" button turned grey like it had already been clicked, but the screen didn't move. It also didn't do anything when I refreshed the page.I left the window open overnight, and the next day it was still there. Then today, I looked and it said that one of the items had been removed because it went out of stock, how can that happen if I already placed the order? I need to get from Memphis to Chicago next weekend. I'm really hoping to go by plane, so I need to know what websites or other agencies you would recommend for me to buy cheap tickets.

Hi, I live in Canada and black friday and cyber monday weekend sales are starting now. I am looking to purchase a laptop and right now Dell's Inspiron 17 R 2.40 ghz I-2430M seems like the best buy so far. However, I am wondering if there is any better laptops out there for under $600 like this one is right now. Of course I don't mind using coupons and the such for reducing the price to under $600. Dell is not the kind of machine you want to buy unless all you do is check your email once in a while or play solitare. If you want a good machine that will last you a while you should get a HP. A nice one is the HP probook. Here is a link!!!
